‘Quid veritas?’ Sound familiar? Pilate’s question to Jesus before condemning Our Lord, Truth.
‘What is truth?’
Do you ever ask yourself the same? Perhaps, at the death of a young man; legalization of trans surgeries – one state passing legislation to remove children from their parents if the parents do not support such mutilations; attempts to proliferate abortion pills; etc.
The answer is simple if one is willing to ‘tolerate’ it. ‘Truth’ is that which is in accord with reality. ‘Reality’ is that which can be sensed by one of our five senses. Truth and Reality exist independent of a person’s choice or belief. For example, someone may say the sun does not exist. His un-truth does not affect the truth (and reality) that the sun does exist.
Ultimately, God is Truth. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He is the Author of everything that exists. He is reality; He is existence; He is is. Without God, nothing exists. Evolution, the Big Bang Theory is meaningless. For, if there is no God, no Being Who has always existed, nothing exists. Something cannot come from nothing.
Why don’t more people accept God’s existence? Ah, well, if God does exist, ‘I might need to change the way I live.’ How many really want to give up sin, pleasure and comforts? How many find life without God and His teachings comfortable?
Yes, life without God may be ‘comfortable,’ and ‘pleasurable.’ Fulfilling and joyful? Impossible without the One Who has made us for Himself.
So, how do we navigate a society that seeks to confuse and re-define truth and reality? We keep our eyes on Jesus, the Way, the Truth and the Life. We choose to follow His Truths on what to believe and how to live today.

‘¿Quid veritas?’ ¿Suena familiar? Es la pregunta que Pilatos le hizo a Jesús antes de condenar a Nuestro Señor, Verdad.
¿Qué es Verdad?’
¿Se preguntan ustedes lo mismo? Talvez, con la muerte de un joven; la legalización de cirugías trans-género – un estado pasó la legislación para remover a los niños de la custodia de sus padres si los padres no apoyan tal mutilación; intentos de propagar las pastillas abortivas; etc.
La respuesta es simple, si uno está dispuesto a ‘tolerarlo’. La ‘Verdad’ es la que está de acuerdo con la realidad. La ‘Realidad’ es lo que se puede sentir con cada uno de los cinco sentidos. Verdad y Realidad existen independientemente de la decisión o creencia de una persona. Por ejemplo, alguien puede decir que el sol no existe. Su falta de verdad no afecta la verdad (y realidad) que el sol si existe.
Ultimadamente, Dios es Verdad. Él es el Camino, la Verdad y la Vida. Él es el Autor de todo lo que existe. Él es realidad; Él es existencia; Él es, es. Sin Dios, nada existe. La Evolución, la Teoría del Big Bang no tienen significado. Por qué si no hay Dios, ningún Ser que haya existido, existe, nada existe. Algo no puede salir de la nada.
¿Por qué más personas no aceptan la existencia de Dios? Ah, bueno, si Dios existe, ‘voy a tener que cambiar mi forma de vida’. ¿Cuántos quieren realmente dejar el pecado, el placer y las comodidades? ¿Cuántos encuentran la vida cómoda sin Dios y sus enseñanzas?
Si, la vida sin Dios puede que sea ‘cómoda’ y ‘placentera’. ¿Satisfactoria y feliz? Imposible sin Él, Quien nos hizo para Sí Mismo.
Así que, ¿cómo navegamos una sociedad que busca confundirnos y redefinir la verdad y la realidad? Mantenemos nuestros ojos en Jesús, el Camino, la Verdad y la Vida. Escogemos seguir Sus Verdades en lo que creemos y cómo vivimos hoy
