The last couple of weeks I have mentioned ordinations to the priesthood at Holy Trinity. If you were not able to attend the ordinations last Saturday, June 3rd, a video can be found on the diocesan website, or clicking HERE. It was an incredible event!
An ordination is quite an event for which to prepare, coordinate and follow-up. There are so many of our parishioners and staff who made the ordinations go off without a hitch! Thank you to all of our volunteers who spent hours preparing flowers and mulching the flower beds in front of the church, the main sign and the grotto by the pond. Thank you to all of our volunteers who set up inside and outside the church. Thank you to our sacristans who spent hours on Saturday in preparation and clean-up. Thank you to our Knights of Columbus who directed traffic on Saturday, including parking in the back field! Thank you to our ushers and greeters who directed people throughout the day. Thank you to members of our staff who coordinated much with the diocese over the last few weeks. Thank you to the many who helped clean inside and outside the church – including into the night.
Some of you may have come to the 9:30am Mass last weekend expecting a typical Sunday morning Mass. This Mass was the Mass of Thanksgiving of Fr. David Witherow from Holy Trinity! It was beautiful. Another young priest, Fr. Nicholas Blank, gave the homily on how a priest can and should show forth God, the Father, God, the Son and God, the Holy Spirit.
Fr. Luke Poczatek, whose family also attends Holy Trinity, will offer a Mass of Thanksgiving next Sunday.
Congratulations to the Witherow and Poczatek families! Thank you for your example of generosity!
May we continue to pray for vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life from our families and our parish! May we continue to pray for our nine newly ordained priests!

Durante las últimas semanas he mencionado la Ordenación al Sacerdocio en Holy Trinity. Si no pudieron asistir a la Ordenación el pasado sábado 3 de junio, pueden encontrar el video en el website diocesano. ¡Fue un evento increíble!
Una Ordenación es un gran evento para el cual uno se prepara, coordina y ejecuta. ¡Hay tantos feligreses y personal que hicieron posible que las Ordenaciones pasaran sin ninguna complicación! Gracias a todos nuestros voluntarios que pasaron horas preparando las flores, cubriendo los arriates de flores enfrente de la iglesia, el letrero principal y la gruta al lado del lago. Gracias a todos los voluntarios que arreglaron adentro y afuera de la iglesia. Gracias a nuestros sacristanes que pasaron horas del sábado preparando y limpiando. Gracias a los Caballeros de Colón que dirigieron el trafico el sábado, ¡incluyendo el estacionamiento en el campo de atrás! Gracias a nuestros ujieres y a nuestros ministros de bienvenida que dirigieron a la gente durante el día. Gracias a nuestros miembros del personal quienes coordinaron con la diócesis durante las últimas semanas. Gracias a los muchos que ayudaron a limpiar adentro y afuera de la iglesia – hasta entrada la noche.
Algunos de ustedes talvez vinieron a la Misa de las 9:30am el fin de semana pasado. Esa Misa fue la Misa de agradecimiento del Padre David Witherow ¡de Holy Trinity! Fue bella. Otro joven sacerdote, el Padre Nicholas Blank, dio la homilía en como un sacerdote puede y debe representar a Dios, el Padre, el Hijo y Dios el Espíritu Santo.
El Padre Luke Poczatek, quien su familia también asiste a Holy Trinity, ofrecerá su Misa de Agradecimiento el próximo domingo.
