K4J - Kids for Jesus
Kids 4 Jesus is a Catholic, non-proft, educational organization focusing on the character formation of children. K4J was started by a group of lay people inspired to use the spirituality of Regnum Christi in an effort to serve the Church and meet the needs of today's Catholic families.
The mission of Kids 4 Jesus is to help kids "to Know Jesus, to Love Jesus, and to Share Jesus."
Holy Trinity will have 5 Kids 4 Jesus clubs for the 2009-2010 school year. The program begins in September and will run through May. We currently have 4 pre-K4J clubs (ages 3-5) meeting the 2nd Friday and 3rd Thursday of each month from 10:00-11:30 am. Pre K4J clubs also meet on the 2nd Sunday of the month from 1:30-3:00 pm and on the third Friday evening of each month from 5:30-7:00 pm. There is also a K4J Friends Club (ages 5-8) that will meet each 2nd Sunday of the month from 1:30-3:00 pm. Each month, the children will be exposed to a virtue--generosity or attentiveness for example--via a formal lesson from one of the participating parents. In addition to the lesson, the virtue is reinforced by the children assembling a craft and also eating a snack which directly relate to the virtue topic of that month.
