"The Church forcefully and specifically exhorts all the Christian faithful...to learn the surpassing knowledge of Jesus Christ by frequent reading of the divine Scriptures. Ignorance of the Scriptures is ignorance of Christ." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, section 133).
"[The chair of Peter] also teaches that Divine inspiration extends to every part of the Bible without the slightest exception, and that no error can occur in the inspired text: It would be wholly impious to limit inspiration to certain portions only of Scripture or to concede that the sacred authors themselves could have erred." (The papal encyclical Spiritus Paraclitus, section 21).
This Bible study is held twice a month, Saturday evenings from 7:30-9:00 pm and led by Greg Witherow. We meet at various homes in Heritage Hunt and the date for each session is posted in the bulletin. You can email (email@example.com) or phone (540-216-9066) for more information. Our current series is on the New Testament epistles. Greg and Kathy Witherow are converts to the Catholic faith. You can read their conversion story in the December 2003 Arlington Catholic Herald.
Walking With Purpose
Walking With Purpose is a Catholic women’s Bible study that aims to bring women to a closer relationship with Christ. Personal study and small group discussions at WWP each week link our everyday challenges and struggles with the solutions given to us through the teachings of Christ and the Roman Catholic Church. Please join us for a 22 week Bible study at Holy Trinity either Tuesday mornings from 9:45-11:45 am or Wednesday evenings from 7:00-9:00 pm. A Tots Religious Education class will be offered during the Tuesday morning studies ONLY for children ages 3-5.
