Events and Activities at Holy Trinity Parish

Our food collection for the poor in our community will now take place weekly! Most needed items include: cereal, pastas and sauces, mac'n cheese, peanut butter, jelly, pancake mix, canned fruits, boxed meals, tuna fish, healthy snacks, juices, coffee. We sincerely appreciate your help.


New Mass Translation Begins, Sessions Available

Do you know what is happening on the 1st Sunday of Advent (Nov 27th)? The Church will start using a new Translation of the Mass at all English Masses!  In order to prepare for this we have some opportunities to learn about what is happening:

  1. Fr. Wooton will hold a very informative, five session class on the Mass and the New Translation that will run from Oct 10th through Nov 14th, from 7:30-9pm in room 201.  

  2. A one session formation opportunity, “What’s Up with the Mass?” will be offered at the following times by Martha Drennan:
    • Nov 6th, 3:35pm-4:40pm, St. Patrick Hall (SPH)
    • Nov 6th, 6:20pm-7:25pm, Church
    • Nov 14th, 4:35pm-5:40pm, SPH
    • Nov 14th, 6:15pm-7:20pm, SPH
    • Nov 15th, 4:35pm-5:40pm, SPH
    • Nov 15th, 6:15pm-7:20pm, SPH
    • Nov 16th, 10:00am-11:30pm, SPH
    • Nov 21st, 7:30pm-9:00pm, SPH

I encourage everyone to try to attend one of these sessions.  They will count as adult faith formation credit for parents of CCD students who are preparing for a sacrament this year.

Finally, Mark your Calendars!  Dr. Edward Sri will be coming as a Guest Speaker to our parish in 2012.  He will speak on the evening of March 30th and then also will speak the morning of March 31st (a Saturday).  Save these dates because you will not want to miss his presentations on the Mass.

Please come either to Fr. Wooton’s sessions or one of Martha Drennan’s sessions so that YOU can say…I KNOW what is coming on the 1st Sunday of Advent!!!!
