About Holy Trinity Parish
On June 27, 2001 Bishop Paul S. Loverde created Holy Trinity Parish, the
sixty-seventh parish in the Catholic Diocese of Arlington. Father Francis J.
Peffley celebrated the first Mass on July 21, 2001 at the Benedictine
Monastery, Bristow, Virginia. Since that first Mass of approximately 200
people, the parish has rapidly expanded. Holy Trinity has experienced
tremendous growth and is building an extremely strong foundation for our
Catholic families. Today, we have over 2,800 registered families, over
fifty ministries and committees, and an excellent religious education
program for our adults and children.
Since our first Mass, Holy Trinity has been blessed with parishioners that
have actively become involved with our parish life. Holy Trinity is unique
in that we have over 50% of our families active in our parish ministries,
committees and voluntary programs. In large part we have been brought
together through the efforts of Father Peffley and his unique skill for
names and community building within our parish.
